Kay Scorah - facilitator, researcher, performer, yoga teacher.....biochemist.

Kay graduated from the University of London in 1976 with an upper 2nd in Biochemistry and 2 published papers in learned scientific journals. Having spent a year in the Max Planck Institut fur Biophysik in Frankfurt, she made the obvious move into market research and advertising. By the age of 32 she had been on the board of directors of 2 London ad agencies (BBDO and Ted Bates) and so decided to quit before anyone found her out. For the last 20 years she has run her own business, and loyal, tolerant and inspiring clients have helped her to lead a very interesting life. With them she works in Europe, the US and the Far East from her base in Dublin. She studied acting at the Beverly Hills Playhouse in 1988/89 and has since continued to train in dance and theatre forms from contemporary to contact improvisation through Butoh to Bouffon. A yoga practitioner for many years, Kay has a teaching diploma from Yoga Therapy Ireland and tutors on yoga teacher training courses in the UK and Ireland. She is on the board of Dance Theatre of Ireland, a member of Dance Ireland, and was a judge in the 2008 Dublin Fringe Festival.  In 2009 she appeared in the Fluxus show directed by Larry Miller in Dublin, and One Penny Operas (choreographer Wolfgang Hoffman) with Myriad Dance in Wexford and Dublin. Her show, "Never look in the Mirror When You're Dancing" received great reviews in Absolut Fringe, the Dublin Fringe Theatre Festival  2010 and in FringeNYC the New York Fringe Festival in August 2011.
